1How do I get to your practice?

We are conveniently located at 9 Station Street, Coburg. We're just outside Moreland train station (Upfield line), a 2-minute walk from trams 19 and 6 on Sydney Road (Brunswick), and a 1-minute walk from bus 510 along Moreland Road (Coburg). When you arrive at 9 Station Street, simply walk around the building to Jessie St, where you'll find our main entrance. Free parking is available on-site. In case of limited space, there's 1-hour street parking along Jessie St and Station St, as well as all-day parking in neighbouring streets such as Hall St and Florence St.

2Is there disability access?
Yes, we have convenient disability access through our main entrance, and our restroom is also suited for disabled use.
3Do you have seating available for larger bodies?
Certainly, each therapy room is equipped with a variety of seating options, including comfortable couches suitable for all body types.
4How much does a session cost?

Sessions are priced at $230 for 50 minutes. Weekend appointments are $240 for the same duration. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan you will receive $141.85 rebate from Medicare. 

5How long are the appointments?
Each appointment is scheduled for 50 minutes.
6What types of payment do you accept?
We accept card payments, cash, and direct bank transfers.
7What types of appointments are available?

We offer face-to-face, phone, and Zoom appointments.

 

8How do online video appointments work?

For online video appointments, you'll need to have Zoom installed (it’s free). On the day of your appointment, we'll email you the meeting link. Simply click on the link to join the meeting. If you encounter any issues, you can call or email us for assistance.

 

9Will my information stay private?

Absolutely. Everything discussed during your sessions and all your personal information are confidential and private. We do not disclose this information to anyone without your explicit consent, except in a few exceptional circumstances which we will discuss during your initial session.

10What are your work hours?

We are available from Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

11Do you work on weekends?
Yes, our clinic is open every second Saturday.
12What do I need to do to see you?

To see us, you'll need a referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or Psychiatrist. With this, you can receive $137.05 back from Medicare, making your out-of-pocket cost $92.95 on weekdays and $102.95 on weekends. You may also claim on your insurance; we provide receipts with item numbers for this purpose. Alternatively, you can opt for therapy without a referral, in which case you'll need to cover the full cost yourself.

13Are Eating Disorder Plans available?

Yes, eligible clients may obtain an Eating Disorder Plan from their GP, allowing Medicare rebates for up to 40 sessions per calendar year. We discuss this during sessions if it's relevant to your situation.

14How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your unique circumstances. You can stop therapy at any time, and you're always in control of the frequency and duration of treatment. We usually recommend starting with 6 sessions, after which we'll review your goals and progress.

15How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone facing challenges or seeking personal growth. If you're experiencing difficulties managing stress, coping with life transitions, dealing with relationship issues, or simply want to enhance your well-being, therapy may help. Our therapists are here to support you on your journey toward greater mental health and fulfillment.

16Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. We strictly adhere to professional and ethical guidelines to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of our clients. Your information will not be shared with anyone without your explicit consent, except in cases where there's a legal obligation to do so.

17Do you accept DVA funding?

Yes, we accept DVA funding for eligible clients. Feel free to call us to discuss your situation.

18Can I bring someone with me to my therapy sessions?

You're welcome to bring a trusted friend or family member to your sessions if you feel it would be beneficial. However, therapy is most effective as a one-on-one conversation between you and your therapist. If you decide to bring someone, it's important they respect your privacy and the therapeutic process.
